Maan syli

Maan syli
niin täynä tuskaa!
En tiedä missä milloinkin
lepäisin.
Mä kuljin halki maiseman
tuhat vuotta sitten,
ja silloinkin
sama hädän
havaitsin.

Ja niin on valtiaat,
ja niin on massa!
Kuin muurahaiskuningatar,
ja alaiset sen:
keko kasvaa, vaan
ei kasva järki-
se tarkoitusko myös
on ihmisen?

Kuulutkos sinäkin
tappajien kaartiin-
vai massaan, joka alistuu
vaieten?
Tämä mielentila
on niin kovin otollinen,
on pönkä se oiva
vallanhimoisten.

The kernel
of the earth
is full of agony!
And I do not know
where to sleep.
I was wandering across
this scenery
one thousands years ago,
and I saw the same pain,
and fear, too.

And the king was
just the same like
as the king is today.
Like an ant queen
with his folks!
The ant hill
gets higher and higher
but there is no increase
in reason.

Are you one of those killers?
Or are you like a man
who just obeys the king?
If you are just a nice fellow
those who have a creed for
power - they get
the most utility of that,
for sure.
